Saskatchewan youth delegate Kaitlyn Kitzan represented SCIC at the 68th Annual Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) in March 2024, the UN's largest event on gender equality. Reflecting on her selection, Kaitlyn said, "I am honoured to have been chosen as a Saskatchewan delegate for CSW 2024. My commitment to advancing gender equality lies particularly within the agriculture industry and politics. I’m looking forward to connecting with other delegates from across the globe to discuss barriers and solutions impacting rural women.” SCIC's support for Kaitlyn at CSW68 significantly boosted her advocacy efforts, especially in agriculture and politics. This experience deepened her commitment to feminist action, leading her to host a "Women in Agriculture" workshop in Saskatchewan, which demonstrated her enhanced understanding of the Feminist International Assistance Policy and aligned with SCIC's vision of empowering youth for equitable development.
