North-South Exchange

SCIC’s North-South Exchange is an annual discussion and workshop series that seeks to link global justice issues taking place in both the Global North and Global South. In 2023, SCIC partnered with Canada Development and Peace to provide a virtual North-South exchange panel discussion centered on territorial land defense in Indigenous communities in the Global South and in Saskatchewan. In May of 2024, SCIC presented another North-South Exchange hybrid panel discussion which featured impactful speakers offering perspectives on the topic of International Indigenous Women’s Health in Saskatchewan, K'iche' Maya (Guatemalan), and Burmese communities.
