Girls just want to have FUN…damental rights!

SDG 5 aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls because of #TheFutureisFemale!  Examine the challenges women and girls face in relation to education, health care and economic opportunities through this Gender Equity Activities booklet. Just like many of the #SDGs, #genderequality is interconnected with ALL 17 goals! We can all take action and make a difference to help make sure women and girls have the same opportunities as men and boys.

Is the tv on a little more than usual in your house these days? Why not teach to kids’ interests and use the tv as a tool to teach Gender Equality?!? Check out this lesson on female action heroes to help learners explore and debunk gender stereotypes and myths.

For older learners, check out Oxfam’s resources which explore the inequalities faced by women in work globally, and follow a learn-think-act approach to creating change. Learners will use statistics, an infographic and a range of case studies from around the world to investigate the inequalities that women face in accessing decent work. They will consider their own personal standpoint and how they could create a campaign to raise awareness of this issue.
