SCIC is proud to officially release our new short documentary: Knowing Ourselves, Knowing the World: A Global Citizenship Journey from Saskatchewan to El Salvador.
The film documents the personal journey of eight Saskatchewan youth as they travel across borders and within themselves, and explore what it means to be responsible global citizens.
SCIC's Global Citizen Youth Leadership (GCYL) Program is a unique, short-term, immersive, international experiential learning opportunity for globally-minded Saskatchewan high school youth. Through the GCYL Program in the summer of 2015, eight local youth leaders visited projects in El Salvador supported by the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) and their partner in El Salvador, the Committee Against AIDS (CoCoSI). While in El Salvador, the youth met with staff and volunteers, as well as community members who have been impacted by international development efforts.
Knowing Ourselves, Knowing the World: A Global Citizenship Journey from Saskatchewan to El Salvador is a short film that documents the experiences of these 8 youth. To learn more about the GCYL program, click here.
